KAIYUAN XU

XU KAIYUAN is a fashion designer and visual artist holding a Master of Design in Fashion, Body and Garment from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago. His debut collection, Lusus Vase, received the prestigious MUSE Design Award, underscoring his exceptional creative vision and artistic excellence.

He is the founder of The Black Dandelion, a brand defined by resilience, diversity, and unconventional beauty. Through sculptural silhouettes and forward-thinking design, his work celebrates individuality and personal transformation.

His collection Unveiling the Cosmos was honored with the German Design Award in the Excellent Product Design – Lifestyle and Fashion category. His work has been showcased on prominent international platforms, including at New York Fashion Week, Los Angeles Fashion Week, and in a special presentation with the Chicago Symphony Orchestra.
